A large Broholmer stands in deep shadow on a shaded porch beside a plain courtyard wall in Port Said. Predawn darkness wraps the scene while a faint rim light catches the heavy texture of the dog's short coat and defines its broad muzzle and folded ears. Low-hanging clouds diffuse the sky, leaving soft negative space around the animal's sturdy frame. A half-open sash window reveals a faint windowsill plant shadow against the interior wall, while a wall sconce remains unlit. The ground shows signs of a lived-in pathside verge with slight asymmetry in the debris. The dog's gaze remains fixed forward, anchoring the quiet early morning moment. One dust mote floats in the thin beam of light near the brickwork.
