A weathered brass gate handle stands isolated against the dark, damp stone of a heavy wooden door in Alexandria. Thin morning mist rests on the oxidized metal, softening the sharp edges of the keyhole and the curved thumb rest. Dew droplets bead on the surrounding ironwork, reflecting the pale, diffused light of the dawn sky. The texture of the corroded metal contrasts with the smooth, wet grain of the painted wood behind it.
