Brass Door Handle in Fez

by Miguel Rivers

A small brass door handle is mounted on the lower right corner of a heavy cedar wood door in a Fez medina alley. The flat noon light reflects off the polished metal, against the deep, matte brown of the aged wood panels. To the left, a section of white stucco wall shows subtle cracks and texture from years of exposure to the elements. A narrow shadow line runs vertically along the edge of the door frame, showing the depth of the entryway.
