A Bolognese dog lies curled on a wooden window seat, its thick, cotton-white coat textured with soft clumps that catch the dim morning light. The dog's dark eyes are half-closed, and its folded ears rest against the side of its head. To the left, a small potted succulent casts a sharp, striped shadow across the dog's flank, while a single unlit taper candle sits on the sill nearby. Outside the window, the hazy, gray outlines of Xining's rooftops fade into the overcast sky, suggesting a quiet, cool morning. The wood grain of the seat is worn and smooth, showing years of use, and a thin layer of dust settles on the sill's edge. The soft side light highlights the individual strands of the dog's fur, creating a gentle contrast against the muted tones of the apartment interior.
