A Bloodhound lies curled on a cushioned window seat, its heavy, loose skin and short coat rendered in sharp detail by the soft morning light. The dog's long, drooping ears frame a broad muzzle, while deep wrinkles mark the forehead and jowls. Overcast diffused light from a nearby window washes the scene in even tones, highlighting the texture of the fur and the worn fabric of the seat. The high-angle perspective shows the full span of the dog's body resting against the window frame, with a small glass of water sitting on the sill nearby. Dust motes drift in the gentle beam falling across the wooden floorboards.
