The wet season outside casts a soft, diffused glow that enhances the golden hues of the turmeric rice and the glistening egg custard topping. Steam rises faintly from the center, indicating the meal is freshly served. The ceramic rim catches the warm glow, against the deep shadows in the room's corners. One grain of rice sits near the edge, catching the light.
