Wonton Soup and Bok Choy on Lacquered Tray in Ekibastuz

A ceramic bowl filled with wonton soup and bright green bok choy sits centered on a dark lacquered tray in a hallway corner near a window. Warm firelight reflects off the glossy tray surface and the oily broth, casting soft highlights on the dumpling skins and vegetable leaves. A small crack runs along the rim of the bowl, and a pastry brush rests casually on the adjacent table edge. The shallow depth of field blurs the dark doorway shadow in the background while keeping the noodles and steam rising from the hot broth in sharp focus. Early spring light filters faintly through the window glass behind the meal.
