Beet Field Beside Silo After Harvest Rain

Hard coastal glare cuts across a muddy lane where dark soil presses into deep ruts beside a towering grain silo. The field displays rows of harvested beets with exposed reddish roots and torn green tops lying against the wet earth. Stacked hay bales form a textured wall along the edge, their straw fibers catching the late-afternoon sun. A thin layer of light fog softens the distant horizon while the foreground remains sharp and detailed. Mud slicks the ground, reflecting the pale sky in small puddles between the ruts. The silo's metal surface gleams under the intense light, against the rough, damp texture of the field. One beet root rests half-buried in the mud near the lane's edge.
