Pale dawn light spills across a concrete floor, meeting the warm glow of a work lamp settled in the corner of a Jos atelier. A couture jacket dominates the center, its fabric heavy and textured under magnifying illumination. Thousands of tiny beads catch the light, creating a shimmering grid of gold and deep blue that contrasts with the rough, unpolished walls. Rain streaks the high window, blurring the outside world while the interior remains sharp. The garment hangs suspended, its intricate embroidery revealing the weight of the materials. One thread of red silk rests against a cluster of silver sequins near the hem, anchoring the visual weight to the lower frame.
