Athens Before Sunrise at Sunrise Light

The gray pre-dawn light illuminates the concrete dock of Piraeus port as a white ferry idles alongside the pier. Passengers in heavy coats stand in small clusters, waiting for boarding to begin. A bicycle rack on the deck is already partially filled with bicycles, their metal frames catching the low ambient light. The water laps gently against the hull, creating small ripples that reflect the dim station lights. In the background, the silhouette of the city rises against the darkening sky, with streetlamps casting long, faint beams across the wet pavement. The quiet routine of daily transit before the city fully wakes.
