Before sunrise, the cool stillness of Athens reveals a quiet street corner near the Plaka district. One scooter is parked on the cobblestones, its chrome reflecting the dim ambient light. Several closed umbrellas lean against a weathered stone wall, their fabric damp with early morning dew. In the background, the silhouette of an ancient column stands against the fading night sky, at the base of the scene in its historical context. A metro train pulls into an art-adorned station entrance nearby, its lights casting long shadows across the pavement. The air is crisp, and the streets are empty, capturing a moment of calm before the city wakes.
