Arctic Fisherman Face in Sapporo Stone Alley

Diffused late morning light washes over a weathered face marked by deep lines and a rough texture, set against a backdrop of falling snow. The subject stands in a narrow stone alley constructed of grey blocks, their skin glowing with a luminous quality despite the overcast sky. Delicate snowflakes drift down, catching the soft daylight as they settle on the subject's dark woolen cap and heavy coat. The grey sea visible in the distance provides a flat, muted horizon that contrasts with the vertical stone walls closing in on the sides. Frost dusts the edges of the alley stones, showing the brief arctic summer conditions. One snowflake rests on the bridge of the nose, sharp against the warm, sunlit skin.
