Directly overhead, rows of shipping containers form a rigid grid against the arid landscape of dry wadis and dune fields near Mombasa. The containers display faded reds, blues, and greens, their corrugated metal surfaces catching the late-afternoon sun with sharp, geometric highlights. Low clouds drift across the sky, breaking into patches of bright blue that cast soft, shifting shadows over the dunes. The dry earth shows a palette of ochre and pale sand, against the industrial precision of the stacked cargo. The scene presents a cartographic clarity where natural dunes meet human-made order.
