Indigo twilight falls through the high windows of a gymnasium, casting a cool hue over a wooden notice table. Stacks of zoning maps lie flat, their glossy surfaces marked by dark, irregular coffee rings that have soaked into the paper. String lights hang overhead, their warm glow reflecting sharply off the polished wood grain and the wet spots on the documents. The low angle emphasizes the towering height of the paper stacks against the dark background. Shadows stretch long across the floor, meeting the base of the table where the wood grain catches the light. One map corner curls slightly upward, revealing the white edge beneath the printed grid lines.
