Under the harsh, flat white glare of midday Tunis, a street-side textile repair station is captured in tight detail. A pair of heavy tailor shears rests open on a worn, scarred wooden table, their steel blades reflecting the intense overhead sun. Beside them sits a chipped white porcelain cup, its interior stained with the dark, circular rings of strong mint tea, evidence of a long morning of work. The background is a blur of hanging fabrics in vibrant indigo and saffron, typical of the Medina's souks, while the foreground shows the rough texture of the table surface, marked by years of use.
