Wooden Abacus Under Incense Smoke Night Light
Warm firelight pools across a worn wooden abacus resting on a rough library table. One curl of gray incense smoke rises vertically from a small bowl, catching the golden glow and drifting toward the dark ceiling. The abacus beads show signs of heavy use, their surfaces polished smooth by decades of handling. One corner of the wooden frame is chipped, revealing the pale, fibrous wood beneath the dark varnish. Shallow depth of field blurs the workshop shelf background in Rufisque, leaving only the instrument and the smoke in sharp focus. Small highlights dance on the curved beads, against the deep shadows that fill the corners of the room. The chipped edge rests firmly against the grain of the table.
