A narrow Milanese balcony framed by weathered stucco and wrought iron railings catches the flat, diffused light of an overcast midday. A young woman in a faded denim jacket leans against the railing, laughing as she balances a wicker basket filled with fresh mozzarella and basil on the stone ledge. Beside her, a half-empty bottle of olive oil and a small ceramic bowl suggest a spontaneous lunch break. In the background, the distant spire of the Duomo is faintly visible through the grey haze, while potted geraniums spill over the edge of the balcony, adding a splash of vibrant red against the muted urban tones.
