Winter Night Flower Auction Tokyo Beach Fog

Silvery winter light washes over rows of plastic buckets stacked with peonies and tulips along a sandy Tokyo beach. Ground fog pools in the depressions between the containers, obscuring the wet sand below. Workers stand among the towering blooms under a deep, starless sky. Frost coats the rims of the nearest buckets, while heavy tulip heads droop slightly under their own weight. Long lines of buckets converge toward figures standing in silhouette against the cold air. Wet petals reflect the ambient glow, and the plastic surfaces show condensation. The arrangement of containers creates a path leading toward the vanishing point where the darkness meets the horizon.
