White Porcelain Cup in Palermo

One blue and white porcelain cup rests on a wet stone sill overlooking the rain-slicked streets of Palermo at dusk. The glaze reflects the dim, gray light of the fading day, highlighting the intricate cobalt patterns against the damp stone. Raindrops streak the exterior of the cup, blurring the sharp edges of the painted floral motifs into soft, watery smudges. A faint wisp of steam rises from the dark liquid inside, against the cool, wet air of the evening.
