White Ceramic Saucers in Quito

A pair of white ceramic saucers rests on a rough, gray stone ledge within a colonial courtyard in Quito under the flat midday light. The saucers show faint water rings and slight chips along their rims, against the textured, aged stone beneath them. Behind the ceramics, a heavy wooden door with iron hinges stands slightly ajar, revealing a shadowed interior space. One drop of water rests on the edge of the nearest saucer, catching the diffuse gray sky above.
