Wet Alley in Budapest

A narrow alley in Budapest’s Jewish Quarter glistens under the heavy, bruised purple of a dusk sky, where fine rain blurs the edges of the surrounding architecture. The wet cobblestones reflect the warm, amber glow spilling from a nearby café window, creating a shallow, shimmering pool on the ground. Leaning against a damp, peeling plaster wall is a black umbrella, its fabric beaded with water droplets that catch the streetlight’s reflection. Beside it, a pair of worn leather boots stands on a slightly raised stone step, the leather darkened by the damp air.
