Bright late morning light floods the narrow interior of a traditional Seoul herbal medicine shop, illuminating rows of dark wooden drawers labeled in Hanja. A tea seller stands behind a polished counter, carefully weighing dried herbs on a brass scale while a customer waits. On the counter, a small bowl holds fresh nectarines, their fuzzy skins glowing under the strong daylight. The walls are lined with pegboards holding hanging tools and dried bundles of herbs. Pigeons coo softly outside, their wings flashing against the bright window. The quiet rhythm of daily commerce, with textures of wood, metal, and organic matter contrasting in the warm light.
