Tea Seller Under Hard Work Light Near Fruit Ladder

Bright afternoon sun reflects off a wet village lane near Johannesburg, illuminating a tea seller standing beside a tall wooden fruit ladder. The seller's weathered hands rest on a stack of clay pots, their skin mapped with the deep lines of years spent under the African sun. Late summer heat lingers in the air, yet the ground remains slick from a storm that just cleared. Reflected light bounces off the puddles, casting a cool, shimmering glow across the rough texture of the ladder's rungs and the seller's simple cotton shirt. The wet asphalt creates a mirror that stretches toward the horizon, drawing the eye along the curve of the lane where shadows stretch long and sharp. one drop of water slides slowly down the side of a teapot, catching the harsh midday glare before vanishing into the dark wood.
