Weathered Driftwood in Vancouver

A weathered piece of grey driftwood rests on the mossy concrete ledge of a seawall in Vancouver, catching the bright late morning light. The rough, bleached surface of the wood contrasts sharply with the damp, dark green patches of algae clinging to the stone below. Sunlight reflects off the wet pavement nearby, highlighting the texture of the grain and the smooth curves worn by the Pacific tide. One small white shell sits nestled in a crevice at the end of the log.
