One weathered coconut rests on the rough wooden slats of a balcony railing in Cartagena, its brown husk catching the soft gray light of a misty dawn. The porous texture of the shell contrasts with the smooth, damp wood beneath it, which shows signs of salt air exposure and age. Behind the fruit, a blurred background of dense green foliage hints at the tropical vegetation surrounding the historic city walls. One drop of condensation rests on the curved surface of the coconut, reflecting the diffuse ambient light.
