Water Droplets in Dublin

Rain-slicked broad leaves of a hosta plant cluster near a window in a Dublin flat, glistening under the fading dusk light. Water droplets rest on the waxy green surfaces, reflecting the dim glow from a wall sconce inside the room. The leaves press against the glass, blurring the view of the wet street outside where streetlights begin to flicker on. One bead of water traces a path down the center of the largest leaf, catching the last ambient light.
