A narrow, shaded passageway in Seville’s Barrio Santa Cruz reveals a domestic service moment under flat noon light. A woman in a faded blue uniform leans over a low concrete sink, her hands submerged in soapy water, while a yellow plastic watering jug and a clear glass pitcher sit precariously on the ledge beside her. Above, a white stucco wall features a simple iron wall sconce, its bulb unlit but casting a small, sharp shadow against the textured plaster. Several potted geraniums with bright red blooms cluster in the corner, their leaves catching the diffuse light. In the background, a pair of gray mops hang from a rusted hook, dripping faintly onto the tiled floor.
