The late summer sun casts long, harsh shadows across the dusty pavement, highlighting the fingerprints smudged on the polished metal of the canister’s lid. Nearby, a child holds a plastic watering bottle, the condensation dripping onto the dry earth. The vendor’s tool caddy sits open on a low wooden stool, revealing a charcoal stick and a harmonica resting beside a coil of wire. A faceted glass bottle on a nearby shop ledge throws a prismatic spot of light onto a faded magazine rack, catching the eye amidst the chaos.
