Soft blue evening light falls through a window, meeting the warm, flickering glow of a nearby candle on a rough wooden workbench. A chunk of raw turquoise rests in its gray stone matrix, its jagged edges catching the firelight. The gem's surface shows a mix of matte rock and smooth, polished patches of vibrant blue-green. Shallow depth of field blurs the background, leaving only the stone and the immediate wood grain in focus. Reflections of the flame shimmer on a glass jar beside the specimen. The turquoise's color shifts from deep cobalt to pale aqua where the candlelight strikes it directly. A thin shadow stretches across the table, ending at the rough edge of the wooden surface.
