High above the sprawling city of Quito, a gondola from the TelefériQo cable car system hangs suspended against a backdrop of misty Andean peaks. The clear late-afternoon sun casts long, sharp shadows across the rugged terrain below, highlighting the dense greenery of the mountain valley. Inside the glass cabin, passengers press against the window, looking out at the cloud layer that partially obscures the city’s historic center far below. The metal cables stretch tautly into the distance, connecting the high-altitude station with the urban sprawl of Ecuador's capital, creating a striking visual link between the natural mountain environment and the modern infrastructure of the city.
