Train Car Embedded Parade Costumes Backstage

Midsummer rain slicks the cobblestones of an Erbil public square as evening light reflects off puddles. A metal passenger train car sits impossibly embedded in the ground, its silver doors open to reveal racks of vibrant parade costumes. The costumes hang in rows, their fabrics heavy with water, displaying fierce embroidery and layered textures. Overhead, festival banners drape across the wet air, their colors muted by the drizzle. The train's undercarriage rests on the stone, while costume racks extend outward like branches from the metal hull. Water beads on the brass handles of the train and drips from the hem of a red velvet cloak. The impossible steel structure anchors the scene, against the soft, dripping textiles against the gray sky.
