Toothbrush Holder in Kyoto

A white ceramic toothbrush holder sits on the edge of a small, tiled bathroom sink in a Kyoto guesthouse. The mixed city light from the street outside casts a cool, blueish glow across the glossy surface of the basin. Inside the holder, a single blue toothbrush leans against the rim, its bristles slightly damp and catching the ambient light. A thin layer of condensation rests on the side of a nearby glass tumbler, blurring the view of the dark window behind it.
