The rough, porous texture of the clay containers contrasts sharply with the smooth, cool surface of the limestone ledge they rest upon. Behind the pots, a glimpse of a tiled roof and a distant spire confirms the specific Mediterranean architecture of the Eixample district. One drop of water rests on the rim of the frontmost pot, catching the bright sunlight in a sharp, crystalline glint.
