Bright winter noon light floods a cramped Alexandria tea shop, illuminating a wooden counter scarred by decades of use. A brass stovetop kettle whistles softly beside a stack of clear glass tea glasses, their surfaces catching the harsh midday glare. Behind the counter, a local vendor in a faded linen shirt adjusts a striped fabric awning that frames the doorway, casting sharp geometric shadows across the tiled floor. On a small wall shelf, a tin tea canister sits next to a pair of wooden prayer beads resting on a crumpled newspaper.
