Tarnished Brass Heirloom Key in Istanbul

A tarnished brass heirloom key rests on the weathered wooden sill of a narrow window overlooking the misty Bosphorus at dawn. The metal surface catches the soft, diffused light, revealing deep scratches and the intricate teeth of the bit. Condensation beads on the cold glass pane just behind the key, blurring the distant silhouette of a minaret in the gray fog. One drop of water slides down the sill, stopping just short of the key's bow.
