Golden light from the setting sun spills across a submerged kelp-fringed shelf, illuminating a vendor turning golden-brown octopus balls on a metal griddle. The vendor wears a traditional apron while working over a portable burner, steam rising in visible plumes. Translucent plankton haze softens the background layers, creating a receding depth of field where dark green kelp fronds drift gently in the current. The metal surface of the griddle reflects the warm orange glow, against the cool blue tones of the surrounding water. Small bubbles rest on the kelp leaves, and the vendor's gloved hands move with practiced precision over the sizzling batter. One octopus ball rests on the edge of the spatula, glistening with oil and steam.
