Sunburned Telegraph Worker in Kotor Winter Lights

Rough skin shows deep red sunburn across the face of a telegraph line worker framed centrally against a darkening Kotor evening. String lights cast a warm, yellowish glow that highlights the texture of weathered hands with wire-cut marks. The subject wears a heavy winter coat suitable for the dead of winter, standing still with an attentive expression. Fine sea spray hangs in the air, visible as faint droplets catching the light near the shoulders. Behind the figure, the stone walls of the old city blur into the night, while the glow of distant city lights begins to puncture the darkness. The light reflects off a wet patch of skin on the cheekbone, at the base of the figure in the damp, cold air.
