Sugarcane Vendor Pressing Juice on Floating Boat

Molten golden light spills across a damp wooden deck, illuminating a vendor's hands working a heavy hand-cranked press. Fibrous sugarcane stalks feed into the metal rollers, squeezing out clear, viscous juice that drips into a waiting glass vessel. The stall sits aboard a narrow boat, its awning casting a deep shadow over the vendor's focused posture. Cool season air leaves moisture beading on the dark wood and metal surfaces. Behind the press, woven baskets and plastic containers stack against the boat's railing, hinting at a busy market rhythm. The vendor's forearms flex against the turning handle, muscles taut under skin dusted with cane fiber. one drop of juice rolls down the side of the glass, catching the sunset glow before falling into the tray below.
