A wet Vancouver street corner glistens under the diffuse, cool light of early morning, where the sheen of recent rain reflects the muted grey sky and the red brick facade of a heritage building. A cyclist in high-visibility gear pauses at the crosswalk, their reflection distorted in a large puddle near the curb, while steam rises from a nearby café vent.
