Bright late morning light floods a narrow Athenian alley, illuminating a chaotic cluster of domestic life against rough, sun-bleached stucco. A weathered wooden ladder leans precariously against a balcony where clotheslines stretch taut, laden with stiff white sheets and colorful pillow covers that catch the wind. Below, a small white dog pauses mid-stride, its shadow sharp on the cracked concrete, while a rusted watering jug sits near a doorway cluttered with stacked tool caddies and a half-open pickle jar left on a stone step.
