Stools at Evening Light

A weathered wooden workbench in a Copenhagen bicycle repair shop glows under the warm amber spill of a hanging industrial pendant lamp, against the cool blue twilight visible through the large glass window behind it. Scattered across the scarred surface are the rusted metal heads of several rakes leaning against a stack of folded metal stools, their tines catching the low light. A pair of leather gloves rests near a ceramic toothbrush holder repurposed to hold screwdrivers, while faint concentric water rings stain the varnish near a small sink basin.
