Dusk settles over a narrow Milanese alley where damp cobblestones reflect the amber glow of a corner trattoria’s warm interior. Through the rain-streaked window, a hurried service moment unfolds on a scarred wooden counter: a waiter’s hand places a heavy, speckled stoneware glaze bowl beside a stainless steel cooking pot, steam rising into the cool air. Outside, a metal rolling cart loaded with crates waits under a corrugated awning, its wheels slick with rain. The gritty reality of evening prep, where the rough texture of wet stone contrasts with the smooth, glossy ceramic and the cold sheen of metal, all framed by the soft, diffused light of a rainy Italian twilight.
