Steamboat Reflects Day Night Sky Kiyomizu

A paddlewheel steamboat glides across the Kamo River near Kiyomizu, its wooden hull gleaming under the flat noon glare. The water surface acts as a perfect mirror, duplicating the vessel and the split sky above. On the left, the sky burns with bright daylight and white clouds; on the right, it abruptly shifts to a deep indigo filled with sharp stars. Peak autumn leaves in red and orange rest on the riverbanks, catching the dry mountain light. A brief sun shower creates a fine mist that hangs low over the water, adding grit to the scene. The reflection shows the impossible horizon line dividing day and night, with the boat's shadow stretching across the mirrored surface where the water meets the starry dark.
