Star Trails Wheel Over Frozen River Bend

Curved white streaks of starlight arc across the pitch-black sky above a sharply defined river bend. The water has frozen into a sheet of opaque, pale blue ice that reflects the faint ambient glow. Snow blankets the riverbanks in smooth, wind-sculpted drifts, against the dark, leafless silhouettes of distant trees. The horizon line sits low, allowing the celestial motion to dominate the upper two-thirds of the view. The ice surface shows subtle fractures and a rough, granular texture where the snow meets the frozen water. A sharp edge of the frozen bank cuts diagonally across the bottom left corner, at the base of the vast cosmic sweep above.
