The dog’s heavy head lies on its paws while clear afternoon sunlight falls through the high Andean sky above. Below the balcony, a street vendor’s colorful zinnias bloom in terracotta pots, adding a splash of vibrant orange and red to the scene. The animal’s calm posture anchors the composition against the textured stucco wall of the historic building.
