Sleeping Farm Dog Beside Seedling Trays

Soft, overcast light spills across dark, churned soil in Cumilla as a weather-worn farm dog curls into a tight circle. Beside the animal, a stack of green plastic seedling trays rests on the muddy ground, their cells filled with damp earth. The wind whips loose strands of straw and dry grass across the foreground, blurring the edges of the black tractor track that cuts horizontally through the frame. The dog's coat, a mix of tan and white, appears slightly ruffled by the breeze. The seedling trays show signs of use, with dirt smeared on their rims. In the distance, the horizon line remains flat and grey, blending the sky with the wet earth. One clump of dried grass lies pressed against the corner of the bottom tray.
