Cool blue twilight washes the ancient Incan stone terraces of Sacsayhuaman, where thick mist rests on the uneven surfaces of massive, dry-stacked walls. A ski jumper in a V-stance soars through the air, their streamlined suit against the rough, weathered texture of the Andean masonry below. The figure is suspended above a narrow market lane lined with low stone stalls, their bodies obscured by the encroaching fog. Leading lines of the stone walls guide the gaze upward toward the airborne athlete, whose shadow is faintly visible on the misty air. The scene shows a moment of suspended motion against the timeless, rugged backdrop of the Cusco highlands.
