Silvery winter light falls through a damp night sky, illuminating a small campfire ring set directly on the ground beside a jeweler's stall. Brass scales and polished trays rest nearby, their metallic surfaces catching the faint glow of the fire and the soft rain. Thin wisps of smoke drift upward into the still, wet air, blending with the heavy atmosphere of the wet season. The fire burns low, casting warm orange sparks against the cool grey tones of the night. Water droplets rest on the brass edges of the trays, reflecting the dim light. One brass weight sits untouched on a tray, its surface gleaming with moisture.
