Silhouette Briefing Stand in Kansai Rain

Raindrops streak down the glass shield of a black briefing pointer stand, catching the low golden light of a Kansai parade ground at dusk. The stand stands in sharp silhouette against the brightening sky, its metal frame wet and gleaming. Water pools on the ground around the base, reflecting the orange glow of the setting sun. A uniformed shoulder enters the frame from the bottom right, at the base of the perspective. The steel surface shows faint smudges of grease and dried rain, evidence of recent field use. Droplets rest on the edge of the pointer tip, heavy and clear against the dark metal. The wet concrete absorbs the light, creating a dark, matte foreground that contrasts with the luminous, rain-filled sky.
