Thick white hemp ropes twist around a rough grey stone, resting on a dark wooden writing desk. Flat noon light from a north window strikes the left side, creating sharp highlights on the twisted fibers while casting soft shadows to the right. The stone's porous surface catches the glare, against the smooth, lacquered wood grain beneath. In the background, the room fades into a blur of warm yellow tones where a desk lamp glows in the corner. The rope's ends hang loosely, framing the stone's irregular shape against the out-of-focus office interior. One fiber frays near the stone's base.
